Great news! The Hands Across the Borders project will continue as the Federation Project for the next 2 years. Federation Project Liaison Helen Hutchins reports that this extension will enable the project to complete Phase 2 and 3 - establishment of clinics and educational programs at the school and hospital, delivery of equipment and supplies, and Phase 4 - to up-skill the women and empower professionals (teachers, doctors and nurses) to deliver services of a higher standard.

In June 2008, Soroptimist from the Federation went to Sampolvoun to assist Helen and her team with the project, cleaning, painting, building and run workshops with the children from the village. To send donations to this value project please contact headquarters, visit the HAB project page
