| Our Projects |  |  | | Written by Theresa De Silva | | Monday, 23 August 2010 | WARD KK3 Soroptimist International Club of Ampang has been working closely with the Children's Cancer Ward at the Kuala Lumpur General Hospital. The Club has provided the ward with 10 plasma television sets and the Astro decoders so children can enjoy the various programmes. Every year, our club provides the ward with goodies such as - gifts, stationary, food (Macdonalds), tee shirts, caps and the kids are also entertained by a clown or Santa Claus during the month of December. FREE HAIRCUTS The club has provided free haircuts for the children from Myanmar under the care of " Shelter Home "in Puchong, Kuala Lumpur. SINGLE WOMEN AND CHILDREN During the fasting month of Ramadhan, our club will host sngle mothers and their children to a sumptious feast. All of them would each receive a goody bad and money sponsored by our club. INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS Our club has sent food packets and bottled water to Myanmar during the floods. |
