One of four Federations globally, SI South West Pacific (SISWP) is the smallest in terms of membership with 13 member countries. The Federation celebrated its 30th anniversary as an autonomous body in 2008.
An Expanding and Dynamic Federation
Since its Charter as a Federation in its own right in 1978, the South West Pacific has grown from three member countries, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, to include 13 countries - including six countries in Asia. Members meet biennially to discuss issues of significance and to vote on any necessary policy changes. The biennial Conferences are an opportunity for international goodwill and understanding and friendship.
Clubs within the Federation provide service to their local, national and international communities within six broad areas and focus their efforts on issues identified by the international organisation as being of current global significance. This allows the accumulated efforts of members in their local communities global impact.
The Federation supports its own major project, as well as supporting the International Quadrennial Project and Annual President's Appeal. Clubs and Regions generate their own projects according to local need and opportunities.
