Birthing in the Pacific Project
International Day of the Midwife - May 5th 2012
To raise awareness to the Federation project - Birthing in the Pacific, it is planned to have a "Biggest Baby Shower" event on May 5th 2012, in recogonition of the work midwifes.
Maternal mortality and morbidity can be reduced by increasing the capacity to provide safe and supervised deliveries, improve access to emergency obstetric care and to educate in family planning and reproductive health.
Get Involved!
Plan a themed Baby Shower event, speak to your local midwifes association, find out if there is a University in your area which has a Midwifes training centre, get student nurses and midwifes involved.
