Saturday May 15th saw 60 Soroptimists from around Western Australia meet to discuss Region matters and participate in some very valuable training.
SI Rockingham were honoured to be asked to host the Regional meeting.
Regional President Berenice has fostered what hopefully will continue in the future, taking Region out to clubs.
It was great to see members travelling from as far and wide as Albany, Geraldton and Port Hedland.
Thanks for making it a great day everyone

What better way to attract potential new members to Soroptimist International than an enticing May Day Tea With the Turtles.
On May 1st SI Rockingham members invited local community women to a Garden Tea at the Naragebup Environmental Centre to enjoy a number of activities including a talk on local environmental projects, tour the Sea Turtle Rescue Centre and a chance to purchase local crafts.
Whilst enjoying tea and cake we took the opportunity to give an overview of SI Rockingham projects and invite local women to our business meetings in future.

| | Butt Out - SOS | | | | Written by Lucy Cotton | | Monday, 12 April 2010 |
SI Rockingham spent March 6th 'Saturday of Service' volunteering for Clean Up Australia Day.
Fantasy Park in Waikiki was our chosen venue as our club has links with the original establishment of the park which provides play equipment for children with disabilities as well as a sensory garden.
We had a fun morning armed with our garbage bags and rubber gloves. In general there was not too much rubbish, but what was high on our list of duties for the day was picking up an unbelievable amount of cigarette butts
