The charter ceremony was held in the rainforest area of Tanarimba Janda Baik in Pahang, Malaysia. As part of the charter program, the tree planting ceremony saw 11 organisations, corporations and Malaysian Soroptimist clubs sponsored a total of 13 trees. The Tecoma trees were planted at the entrance of the upcoming Rainforest Information Centre. This reflects the club’s tagline “Impacting Lives in Environment and Education”.

During the Charter Ceremony, Federation President Anusha signed and presented the Charter Document together with charter badges, whilst name tags and membership certificates were presented by National Representative Malaysia, Anita Pater and Region President Agnes Tan respectively.

The Charter was attended by over 30 Malaysia Soroptimists with a crowd of over 200 guests. The guests were treated to a High Tea and entertained by a homegrown band called Keyboard Fungus and SI Bentong member, Ms Yudi Yap.
