Beginning the 25th of November and ending on the 10th of December is the United Nations 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign is a time to galvanize action to end violence against women and girls around the world.

SISWP 16 Days of Activism Facebook Banner This international campaign originated from the first Women's Global Leadership Institute coordinated by the Centre for Women's Global Leadership in 1991. For several years now clubs through the Federation have used the Walk the Talk campaign to advocate for an END to violence against women.

SISWP Programme and Communications teams will be utilising the SISWP Website, Facebook and Twitter to showcase the Soroptimists 16 Days of Activism Campaign and this year will be promoting the special 16 Days of Activism Toolkit introduced in 2018. This toolkit will assist all SISWP Clubs in participating in the campaign and to also help in promoting Club involvement in activities during the campaign period.

The Toolkit Includes:

  1. 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence Campaign Toolkit Overview Document

  2. Facebook banner to be used by all clubs on your Club Facebook page – (This can also be used to add to the bottom of your email signature.)

  3. Facebook Profile Frame
    Facebook Profile Frame Instructions on How to Update your SISWP Club/Members Facebook Profile Frame to promote campaign

  4. Banners to be used on publications, websites, brochures

  5. Orange SISWP emblem

  6. 16 Days of Activism Campaign Slogans - PDF Documents – Which Clubs should print out and take to Club meetings, project days and use to photograph Club members in action holding slogans and then post these photos on your Club Facebook page and send to SISWP HQ for us to share on SISWP Facebook Page also.
